VACANCY | PATHWAYS ASSISTANT COACH

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive Pathways Assistant Coach at Bradford Bulls RLFC.

THE PERSON

You will have excellent knowledge of coaching and the ability to connect with young adults. You will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends. 

PATHWAY ASSISTANT COACH ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Head Coach to select and prepare the players for matches.

• Planning & preparation of training sessions and activities as per Head Coaches instruction.

• Deliver effective & Progressive sessions throughout the program.

• The content of those sessions to be agreed with Head Coach/Fellow Coaches.

• Provide regular feedback to players.

• Educate players in the ethos and values of Bradford Bulls Academy.

• Commitment to program of CPD.

• Highlight any problems or potential difficulties & identify and implement positive

 solutions.

• Organise and plan sessions to ensure all players maximize their individual performance

 within a team environment.

• Ensure agreed game principles allow all players the opportunity to promote themselves

 and develop. 

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES / QUALIFICATIONS 

Good Leadership and influencing Skills

Strong Passion and Drive

Excellent Motivational Skills

Good organiser and administrator

Qualified level 3 minimum or willing to work towards UKCC Level 3

Ability to conduct effective match and individual analysis, conduct effective 121’s to develop playing capabilities

Knowledge of the Player and Coach pathways

Experience of production of effective strategies and plans for coaching

A passion for Individual Player development

Minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a Sports environment

Good people management skills

Effective communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Committed to self-professional development and passionate in delivery of same to team

Willingness to undertake a DBS Check

Safeguarding and Protecting Children Qualified

UKAD Clean Coach Qualified

Mental Health Aware
